McGraw-Hill Spectrum Workbooks give you the extra help you need.

Spectrum Workbooks published by McGraw-Hill can provide any supplemental work you may need for your homeschool. When our oldest son tested quite poorly on his yearly standardized test, we knew he needed extra help. We discovered these workbooks, more specifically their test-prep books.

Along with additional reading and writing practice, we decided to have him complete a few pages of the test-prep books each week. Over the course of the year, his scores improved greatly.

While our family doesn't believe you should base your children's education entirely according to standardized test results, we do want to prepare them to do the best they possibly can when faced with a testing situation. There can be many reasons and factors for poor test scores, and extra practice never hurts anyone.

Spectrum offers specific help for many subjects as well. You can find grade appropriate workbooks for history, math, science, language, spelling, writing, reading, and grammar. Extra practice is available for most all subjects. You will even be able to find state-specific test-prep help.

For more information, check out TeachChildren.com, or Schoolspecialtypublishing.com. I've also found these items at a reduced price at Sam's Club and Costco, and sometimes Walmart stores.
